It accommodates adult inmates (over 18 years old) who have been arrested and are awaiting trial, pending plea or sentence as Montana state law offenders. It was well known that the CSKT Flathead Reservation had a disproportionally high number of community members in Montana Justice System, many of whom were being lost and not returning to the reservation.
